My wife grew up with these stories. I had never heard of them (nor had my sisters). They are, quite simply, great. I should warn other buyers that I don't much subscribe to analyzing "subtext" in kid's stories. So these may be horrific on that scale for all I know. I think the stories are fun and the illustrations really captured and kept my daughter's interest. I hope Amazon keeps adding more to their publish-on-demand list.

Great story of Dorrie who gets a cold and needs a Witch Doctor to help.
have always loved this book and mine is in tatters. This is in much better shape and got here just fine.

My favorite series as a child - sweet and funny and weird - now passing on to my favorite kids! In this book Dorrie is found to have Auntitis after dealing with cranky elderly aunt ;-)
Oh, this is one of the BEST books ever! D All of the Dorrie books are. I had lost my childhood copy, and was ecstatic to be able to get it again! YAYAY!
A sweet story about the little witch who decided it was the day to "try to be good." However, circumstances occur and things are all going very wrong, until the Witch Doctor comes to put everything in order in the way each patient needs. Very cute and has not gotten irritating over the dozens and dozens of times my 3-year-old has requested to read it.
