We love this series
If you went to a girl's school and are from the older generation, you'll remember the crushes and other aspects of a more innocent age.
This book is fun and quite psychological. There is the very beautiful blond girl who uses others, the genius who is pushed by her parents, the swot who defines herself by her good grades and is very much like the saying, "All work and no play make Johnny a dull boy (or Jane) and the athlete with the booming voice and direct manner who is also a born dictator. All in the running to learn their respective life lessons.
And there are the teachers and headmistress who have their own strengths and weaknesses and who are sometimes hindered by parents who are living through their children.
In the mix is the hard lesson for many of us to learn-how to pace ourselves, take care of ourselves and not work ourselves to death.
I love this book but the typos are horrible. I'm 9 and I can't read some of this because of the typos.
I love Enid Blytons and grew up reading this series, so this review is not a commentary on the book itself. It's more a review of the quality of the e-book. There were typos through the series, and not small ones. Sentences and even entire paragraphs were repeated at random intervals, while some ended abruptly. Words were substituted erroneously. I'm annoyed as I bought the entire series and found errors in every single book.
Nice book, a little fast paced, but very nice otherwise. Iwttswe! That stands for i wish the series wasnt ending! But all good things come to an end. At least we can read and reread again and again!
The best part of the book was at the end. I won't say it because it will spoil the entire book. I gave it a five star because it is truly a five star book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes Enid Bylton
These are books I had read when I was a little girl and it was so refreshing to go back to them now that I have reached an older stage in my life other than "a little girl"
